Satellite TV Systems FAQsDish Network FAQsNothing is free. What is the deal? Well you are required to make a commitment for 12 months. In return you will receive up to 4 receivers, plus installation in up to 4 rooms for free. Where is it available? It is available in the US as long as you have a clear line of sight to the southern sky. I don't have a credit card, what can I do? A credit card isn't necessary. If you have a debit card attached to your checking account, with a Visa or Mastercard logo, then you will still be able to sign up. What are the channels? Simply click on the MORE button on the main page, follow the links and you can see a full list of channels. Are there any adult channels? Yes. Do I have to decide on the channels when I sign up? No. Simply sign up for the basic package, then you can change your order prior to the installation. What is the total number if receivers I can have? There is a maximum of 6 receivers for one account. The first 2 receivers are free, however if you sign up now the next two are also free. This is a saving of about $100 and is a limited time offer. Can I change my information online? Yes. My Homeowners Association says we aren't allowed to have satellite dishes. What do I do? The satellite dishes comply with the Satellite Consumer Bill of Rights. This allows resident to instal satellite dishes in apartments and similar dwellings. Why does the receiver have to be connected to a phone line? This is for billing and ordering purposes. Because we offer pay per view programming via your tv and remote control, if you don't have a continous phone connection, you will be required to call when ordering certain programming. There is a $5 service charge on most orders. Do I need a second phone line? No. You need only one phone line which can be your current one. All receivers can be connected to this line if necessary How many televisions can I have? You can run additional lines from the receiver to enable you to watch the same program on multiple tv sets. If you want to watch different programming, you will need a dish with multiple outlets and a receiver for each tv. You can have up to 4 receivers from the DirecTV Plus dish with 4 outlets.
